I’m a NYC-based interior designer with a passion for creating memorable spaces, both inside and outside the home
After graduating from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Classical Studies and English in 2017, I shifted from the academic to the practical by pursuing my lifelong love of pastry to start Seven Bakers Lane, my own small baking company. I enjoyed running the business and was preparing to open a physical, brick-and-mortar location in Brooklyn when I realized I was more excited about designing the bakery (and hotels, and restaurants) than baking!
Following my newfound interest, I enrolled at Parsons School of Design and graduated in the Spring of 2020 with a degree in interior design. At Parsons, I gained a new set of skills, including concept development, space planning, and drawing & modeling programs (Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, REVIT, V-Ray, Sketchup). I also interned at FXCollaborative for nearly a year, gaining priceless professional experience while re-organizing the firm’s materials library, coordinating all of the vendor presentations, and working on major interior design projects. Throughout my time at FXC and Parsons, my excitement for design has only grown stronger.
Clearly, the pandemic has created many challenges, yet the hiatus has given us time to re-imagine our home experiences, where work and leisure co-exist. Change creates opportunity—opportunity to imagine new and inventive solutions for the next generation of hospitality experiences, both at home and away from home.
I’m excited to be part of this dynamic industry.
